Mar 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Early this morning I brought you the sad news of the death of 80’s heart throb Corey Haim. Since then, more information has been released and I wanted to pass it on to you.

It is now being said that Corey Haim did indeed die of an accidental drug overdose. The police are being cautious with the information, and are stressing that the cause of death cannot be clear until an autopsy has been performed, however Sgt. Frank Albarren of the Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood Station said,”It was an apparent overdose. Unknown what type of medication.” The police were informed of the death by the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank California. “The investigation is ongoing,” L.A. Coroner Lieutenant Watch Commander Cheryl MacWillie told reporters.

Haim was found by his mother Judy who called 911 as soon as she found her son unconscious. Paramedics arrived on the scene to find Corey unresponsive. Haim had been living with his mother and helping her as she battled with breast cancer. “He was a good boy. I’m devastated by his death,” she said.

He had been sick with the flu over the past week, but the medication found in his apartment was not related to his illness. There were not, however, any illegal drugs found in the home.

As soon as the story was released, celebrities started flooding Twitter with condolences.
