Cops to use dogs to sniff out more bodies around Fritzls dungeonMay 14th, 2008 - 11:55 am ICT by admin
London, May 14 (ANI): Austrian cops will be using sniffer dogs and sophisticated ground-penetrating radar to see whether more bodies are hidden in the earth around the dungeon where Josef Fritzl imprisoned daughter Elisabeth for 24 years
According to the police, many more existed in the labyrinth, which they were yet to examine, including some which Fritzl is thought to have sealed off years ago.
Given his history of sex crimes - he has a conviction for rape and attempted rape and is being investigated for an unrelated murder - police fear that the dungeon may hold clues to yet more crimes, reports the Telegraph.
The ground-scanning radar machine can detect hidden spaces and buried objects, including bodies.
They are also using dogs trained to detect human body parts, including one led by an officer who wore a T-shirt bearing the slogan: Trained to search for human bodies. (ANI)
