May 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ‘Lost’ fans who felt lost after the finale ending on Sunday have searched for an easy explanation since the time the show ended. The complex messages and the flashbacks did leave some brains rattling for answers but some of the mysteries of the island were definitely broken down.

The finale went into a flashback of everything that happened after the plane crash. It then goes back to the time when Jack and Kate go to Jack’s father’s funeral. The ‘Lost’ finale also emphasized on the afterlife that everyone has to finally reach. The fact that after one’s death there is a light was elucidated in the episode. Viewers who started speculating that the whole show is a purgatory finally found their answers. The characters which died died in reality and were transported to the purgatory, where everyone eventually has to end up. The ‘Lost’ finale also explained the fact that everything that happened in real time and in the flashbacks were real.

Since the series began six years ago there have been speculations about the people being already dead after the plane crash but that was put to rest in the finale. The number of smoke monsters too remains a mystery for most fans. The finale on ABC had millions of viewers glued to their television screens looking for answers of the mysterious island. Though some secrets were revealed and some happenings were explained, a lot was left to speculation. Considering the overwhelming success of the show, this is definitely what the creators must have wanted. For the ‘Lost’ finale, ABC aired an extended 2 hour show on Sunday.
