Conan O’Brien to sign a $40 million good-bye deal with NBC

Conan O Brien Los Angeles, Jan date (THAINDIAN NEWS) Conan O’Brien, the host of the Tonight Show is bidding adieu to NBC and walking away with a whopping $40 million too. Conan shifted lock, stock and barrel to Los Angeles to be part of the Tonight Show barely 6 months ago. He took the hosting duties from Jay Leno and now the circle is reversing itself. As Jay Leno is looking at the Tonight Show, and Conan is taking the severance package and saying good-bye.

Apart from the huge payout, Conan is barred from badmouthing the NBC and his ex-bosses. And he can resume his TV career in a year. Conan tried his level best that his team also gets treated fairly at NBC, as they too had shifted to Los Angeles just for this show.

Apart from working on the severance deal with NBC, Conan is keeping his sense of humor intact too. On Monday night’s show, in his monologue he said that he was going to sell himself on Craiglist and he did keep his word too. The advertisement says that, “Tall, slender redhead available for nighttime recreation/Drapes match the carpet/Currently homeless, must meet at your place/Can go a whole hour (with scheduled breaks every 7-10 minutes).” He also made fun at himself by saying that he is “not afraid to take two people at once and then a musical guest” and added, “If you want me to perform after midnight, it’ll cost you!”
