Conan O Brien New York City, Apr 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The former Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien is all set to host a late night show on TBS. This does come as a surprise, because earlier it was being reported that he was in talks with FOX Network, but now it has been confirmed that he is all set to have his own late night show on TBS.

TBS is a comedy-oriented cable channel, which is owned by the Turner network. Since Conan can’t be back on TV till September as part of his severance agreement, so the new show would start in November, and it would air at 11 pm on weeknights. Currently George Lopez has the 11 pm slot, but when Conan would make his debut on TBS, then George Lopez’s show would be shifted to midnight.

Mr. O’Brien confirmed the TBS deal and said that, “In three months I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I’m headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly.” On the popular social networking and micro blogging site Twitter, he tweeted that, “The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I’ll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show.”
