New York City, Mar 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There are a number of rumors afloat that Fox and Conan O’Brien are working behind the scenes, in order to ink a deal together. Fox is trying its best to accommodate the former Tonight show host ,as a late night show host on their channel. According to reports, the network officials are trying to exert their influence on the local affiliates, to make a late night slot for Conan between 11pm and midnight, according to TMZ.

Even though there have been no actual confirmations from either side, yet reposts suggest that Conan’s representatives are also having discussions and meetings with Fox officials so as to make the deal a reality. They want to adjust Conan in the 11 pm to midnight slot, which is currently occupied by ‘The Office’ reruns, and its ratings are also satisfactory at the moment.

When NBC and Conan parted ways then both of them also signed a severance deal. The severance deal brought in around $32 million for Conan O’Brien. Besides the financial aspect, Conan O’Brien is barred from working for any other channel before the 1st of September 2010. He is also not supposed to give any kind of interviews to the media and neither can he bad-mouth his NBC bosses, for a short interval of time. And during this time interval NBC has also agreed that it will not also speak ill about Conan O’Brien.
