bienMay 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Conan O’Brien appeared on the CBS talk show “60 Minutes” on Sunday, and spoke, for the first time since he had left it, about the unceremonious exit from NBC’s “The Tonight Show.” He had been prohibited from appearing in any talk show or interview by the network, NBC, after his departure from the show and the cancellation of his deal with the channel. Although it was an unusually repressed persona that he revealed on “60 Minutes”, that did not stop Conan O’Brien from speaking out his mind about Jay Leno.

In response to why he had not opted for another show on the same network, Conan O’Brien said that he was becoming pretty sure that the network did not want him there anymore, and that in the last few days that he had worked, he had felt the toxicity and the hostility in the atmosphere. He further went on to say that what he had not expected was that Jay Leno would actually take back the show when he was offered the position of the host of the show, and that he felt pretty certain that had he been in the same position, he would never returned to the show.

Conan O’Brien had been asked to leave “The Tonight Show” after a whole lot of tomfoolery ensued in the channel about show timings., In the end, Jay Leno, who had been the host of the show for 17 years before he moved over to “The Jay Leno Show,” was offered the position once more, and he accepted. Conan O’Brien mentioned that he had not heard from Jay Leno since, and that he did not know if the former had lobbied to get back the show.
