Conan O Brien Mar 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Just a few days ago I brought you the story about Conan O’Brien interviewing squirrels and negotiating with Fox. One offer he has received which is connected to the network, however, required a “No” answer on Conan’s part.

Fox and Conan were discussing the possibility of a late-night television show for Fox network to be hosted by Conan himself. In the middle of these talks, the producer of Fox’s “American Idol” approached the talk show star with an offer to appear on the upcoming “American Idol Gives Back” show due to air on April 21. 19 Entertainment is said to be inviting several different celebrities to be on the charity special, and Conan was one among those.

The invitation was sent to NBC, since they have an agreement with Conan that he cannot appear on television before May 1. Their answer was “No.” Not even for a charity event will they allow Conan to appear on television before the agreed upon date. As soon as September, however, he could launch his own television show.

In the meantime, Conan is busy with his own comedy tour which does not breech his “No Television” agreement. Conan O’Brien has recently released the dates of his string of North American comedy stage shows which has been named “Conan: The Legally Banned From Being Funny On Television Tour.” Tickets are on sale here

The tour includes 30 stops in cities such as San Francisco CA, Vancouver BC, Seattle WA. Los Vegas NV, Dallas TX, and many others. It is set to begin in Eugene, OR on April 12, and end up in Atlanta GA on June 14. After the tour is over, Conan will still have about 12 weeks to go before the gag order imposed by NBC will be lifted and he can return to television comedy if he so chooses.
