Georgia, Nov. 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Comedian Katt Williams was arrested on the charges of alleged burglary and entry without authority. Georgia police has detained him in a prison, in the Coweta County. He will be appearing for bail this afternoon, at 4 p.m. He was arrested early on Monday morning, after the Sunday, Nov. 8, incident. Police said that he had entered the private residence using a crowbar. The actor cum comedian was arrested in suburban Atlanta in Georgia. He had allegedly broken into a home and stolen jewelery and coins. Williams’ bail is expected to be set at $41,000.

Police said that the report had been filed around 9 p.m. on Monday. The owner of the residence at Newnan, south of Atlanta, reported to the police that Williams had broken into his home and committed burglary. Daniel Broach, the victim, as he has been identified in the police reports, also mentioned that Williams carried a crowbar with him. He gave the police an account of the jewelery and collectible coins that the celebrity had stolen, and made an estimate of about 3,555 dollars.

Williams has made no comment on the matter till now. His attorney William Briggs told the press that Williams hadn’t trespassed and that the charges against him are false. He reported that the actor had been staying in the property with complete authority since he is shooting for a film there. He also mentioned that the property belongs to the producer of the film, Barry Hankerson. Briggs blamed one of Hankerson’s employees for the incident, saying that he had made up the story as he had allegedly been involved in some dispute with Williams.
