Comedian Jean Carroll Has Died

Jan 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The entertainment industry had lost some of its shining stars in the year 2009 and embraced the new year 2010 with hopes of some good news. However, the celebrity deaths have continued in this year too and comedy actress Jean Carroll is reported to have passed away on January 1, 2010. It is quite disappointing that the very first day of the new year took away the life of a notable actress, whose acting had made a mark in the minds of people.
Helen Tunick, the daughter of the celebrated comedian Jean Carroll confirmed that she had died at the age of 98. As per the reports, the actress who lived in New York’s Hartsdale, breathed her last at one of the hospitals in White Plains. No other details of her death have been released so far.
Though the actress had mostly worked during the 1940s and 1950s, people have been saddened by her death news. Jean Carroll was known for her perfect timing and witty performance. Her glamor and humor used to glue audiences to her acts. The actress used to derive humor from basic things that forms the part of people’s life. It was her incredible works that made people note her among the first female stand-up comedians. Her death is an irreparable loss for the entertainment industry and have disappointed her fellow actors as well as her fans.
According to the reports, the actress’ contemporaries have decided to pay her a tribute on Monday. It has been reported that they would gather in the New York Friars Club to attend the event, which would be hosted by Joy Behar.
