Nov.10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mexican American comedian George Lopez is the latest celebrity to join the chat show band wagon. The much acclaimed comedian is ready with his brand new chat show titled ‘Lopez Tonight’. The first episode of the show which was aired on Monday, saw Lopez play a new role of a chat show host.

The show, which was premiered on TBS network had NBA star Kobe Bryant, chat show host and comic Ellen DeGeneres and “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria-Parker as guests. The episode witnessed the stars in candid conversation with the comedian and it seemed to be more of an informal and fun-filled show. George had earlier emphasized that rather than being another chat show involving celebrities, he promises that good music as well as enhanced public participation would ensure that the show is unique and stands out from his counterparts. Although, the first episode seemed to be quite impressive, it remains to be seen whether the show manages to strike a chord with the audiences. Undoubtedly, the viewers have a variety of options to choose from, with a number of such chat shows being shown in different networks. The chat show would be aired Monday to Thursday at 11 p.m.

48 year old George is among the most acclaimed comedians who has over the years captured audiences because of his distinct comic timings and unique sense of humor. Most of his stand up comedy include instances from his childhood and highlights the Mexican and American culture. He is also known for his popular American sitcom ‘George Lopez’, which was initially shown on the ABC network.
