Colin Firth likes looking weathered
December 28th, 2010 - 3:03 am ICT by IANSLondon, Dec 28 (IANS) Renowned British actor Colin Firth likes growing old and looking weathered in real life. The 50-year-old actor, who has featured in movies like “A Single Man”, likes growing old because he thinks he had a “boring” face when he was younger, reports contactmusic.com.
“When I was about 25, I remember looking at older actors I was working with - brilliant older actors and thinking, ‘I can’t wait to get a few wrinkles’,” said Firth.
“I had such an utterly boring face at that age and longed for a bit of weathering and a bit of texture,” he said.
However, the Oscar-nominated thespian doesn’t want to look too old, adding: “Just as long as I don’t fall apart completely.”
