Colin Firth despises X-Mas
December 27th, 2009 - 5:05 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New York, Dec 27 (IANS) English actor Colin Firth has confessed that he despises Christmas and even the festive season’s music makes him furious.
The actor says he is like the famous grump and Charles Dickens’ mighty miser Ebenezer Scrooge since he struggles to get into the holiday spirit every year, reports buzzhollywood.com.
“I have a profound loathing of Christmas - it’s sad really. At this time of year, I am careful not to switch on the radio because those novelty jingles make me homicidal and plunge me into the heart of Scrooge territory. I think Christmas turns us all into Scrooge. Everyone is trying to throw happy stuff at you, and that’s when I come over all humbug,” he said.
