New York, June 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Coldplay’s new song has been received with mixed ratings. The song “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall” was released over the weekend and listeners have formed varied opinion about the song.

While some of the fans believe that the song is a disappointing one for the band, others insist that the song is a good one and in fact place them “in a good mood.”

One particularly disappointed fan posted a comment saying “Where is the magic?” The single was released ahead of the band’s next album which is expected to be released later in the year. The band has not named the next album nor have they said when they hope to release the highly anticipated album.

The album has been hyped by comments made about it by some band members. During an interview with the media last year, front man Chris Martin said that, “The ideas come from the New York graffiti art of the 70s. I’ve spent a lot of my life playing it a bit safe or conforming to something, even though I didn’t agree with it.”

Chris is married to Gwyneth Paltrow.
