Las Vegas, Aug 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Paris Hilton has once again landed up in trouble. As per the report made public on Monday by Las Vegas police Lt. Dennis Flynn, the police had found a packet of cocaine in the purse of the American socialite who had denied any knowledge of the item being there. Although Paris Hilton had held that the $1,300 in cash, the rolling papers, several credit cards and a “broken tablet of Albuterol” found in the purse belonged to her, she had maintained that the purse in which they were contained belonged to a friend. Paris Hilton was arrested on Saturday evening along with her boyfriend Cy Waits after they were stopped by the police at around 11:22 p.m. Friday. As per reports, she has been charged with possession of the cocaine and was released on bail on Saturday.

As per reports, Paris Hilton and her boyfriend were stopped in a black Cadillac Escalade after they smelled of marijuana. Although the police report did not mention whether any trail of marijuana was found in the car, it maintained that the lady failed to provide satisfactory answers on the content of the purse. Dennis Flynn mentioned that it was when she opened her purse to get a lip balm that the police noticed the small plastic “bindle” containing 0.8 grams of cocaine were found. While she acknowledged that the asthma prescription drug “Albuterol” was hers, she maintained in front of the police that she had not seen the packet and that she “thought it was gum”.

David Chesnoff, attorney of Paris Hilton had declined to comment on the matter and had urged public not to “rush to judgment”. According to him, the matter will be dealt with in the courts and not in front of the media.
