nicole-scherJan 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The rock and pop group Cobra Starship performed with the former lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger at the 36th Annual People’s Choice Awards. The show was held on Jan 6 at the Nokia Theater and was broadcast live on CBS. The song that they performed on had been nominated for the category of the Favorite Music Collaboration, but they lost out the prize to “Run This Town,” a collaborative venture of Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West. However, that did not stop the group from performing their best at the show.

The Cobra Starship had also thrown in for good measure their latest hit single, “Hot Mess.” When they were called up on stage, they first performed to “Hot Mess”. Energetic and high octave as usual, the performance was just what the audience had expected of the highly popular rock band. Their next performance was somewhat of a surprise, as they called in the most unlikely person to perform with them on their next song, “Good Girls Go Bad.” The surprise came in the form of Nicole Scherzinger, the former lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls.

The one to have featured in the song along with the Cobra Starship in the original version is Leighton Meester, but she was not available for the night. Nicole Scherzinger’s performance at the People’s Choice Awards met with mixed reviews. While some considered it to be a great one, still others felt that her presence somewhat had the effect of ruining the song. The others who performed at the award ceremony were Mariah Carey, Ashton Kutcher and Taylor Swift, among others.
