May 28th, 2010 - 1:51 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York City, May 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) CNN accidentally played an inappropriate song which featured the N-word. The network was showing a clip on a 103-year-old woman who still drives around, and then to go for a break, the network played a Coolio song – ‘Fantastic Voyage.’ The song went something like “Ain’t no bloodin’, Ain’t no crippin’ / Ain’t no punk-a** n***a’s set trippin’ / everybody’s got a stack and it ain’t no crack / and it really don’t matter…”
When CNN realized the blunder, then anchor Kyra Phillips stepped in and apologized profusely for the mistake. She said very honestly, that they had aired the wrong music to go for a break and were sorry about it. She said honestly and in an apologetic way that, “We aired some music just a few minutes ago, and, obviously for those of you that heard it, it was the wrong music that aired. We apologize for that. It was a terrible mistake. And we’re working very hard to make up for it.”
Coolio is a well-known Rapper, musician and an actor too. He established a name for himself in 1994, when he debuted with the single ‘Fantastic Voyage’. He followed it up with ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ the very next year, which consolidated his position as a musician.
