Clooney ’spreads awareness about possible civil war in Africa’
October 7th, 2010 - 5:30 pm ICT by ANILondon, Oct 7 (ANI): George Clooney is doing his bit to spread peace in the world.
The actor returned to the Sudan in a bid to raise fresh awareness about a possible upcoming civil war, which will split the African nation in two.
The Southern Sudanese will vote for independence and that’s likely to split Africa’s largest country in two, and prompt a north-south war - something Clooney and United Nations officials are keen to avoid, reports The Daily Express.
“If you knew a tsunami, or (Hurricane) Katrina or a Haiti earthquake was coming, what would you do to save people?” he said to TV news reporter Ann Curry, who is accompanying Clooney on his trip back to the Sudan. (ANI)
