Clooney giving pal Obama lessons on body language, presentationAugust 11th, 2008 - 1:21 pm ICT by ANI
London , Aug 11 (ANI): Barack Obama has found a great Hollywood pal in none other than George Clooney, who is offering the Presidential candidate expert advice on body language, presentation, and policy.
Sources have revealed that the 47-year-old superstar and the Democratic presumptive candidate have struck a close relationship, and are constantly in touch via phone, text and email.
The duo is also said to be sharing views on policy, with Clooney asking Obama to take a more balanced approach towards US-Israel relations.
However, one Democratic insider said that the unlikely friendship could prove to be very risky for Obamas election chances.
”George is pro-Palestinian. And he is also urging Barack to withdraw unconditionally from Iraq if he wins, the Telegraph quoted an insider as saying.
His hope of becoming America s first black President depends heavily on winning over conservative voters and it would be suicidal for him to be perceived as a tool of a Hollywood Leftie, which is how they regard George, the insider added.
A source close to Clooney has revealed that the Oscar-winning actor is giving Obama image advice and tips on public speaking.
George is a master at crafting his own image and he is helping Obama to hone his image both domestically and abroad. He has tried to keep the true extent of their involvement out of the Press because he is frightened of alienating voters, said the source.
The Oceans Eleven star is amongst many Hollywood celebrities who have come out in support of Obama, and have been raising funds for his campaign.
Obamas Hollywood supporters include Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand, and Scarlett Johansson.
While Clooneys press office confirmed the reports of the pairs private conversations, but Obamas office did not comment. (ANI)
