Clio Awards honored the best in the advertising world after a gap of 13 years

Clio Awards New York, May 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Clio Awards made a comeback after a gap of 13 years, and they were a mega success. The award ceremony started off with a cocktail party and soon metamorphosed into a formal dinner that was held at the Skylight Soho. Rob Riggle hosted the elegant comeback award ceremony. The event was well attended by the head honchos of the advertising world.

During the ceremony a total of 347 awards were presented. Co-chairmen and creative directors of “Goodby, Silverstein And Partners” - Rich Silverstein and Jeff Goodby were honored with the CLIO Lifetime Achievement Awards. The main sponsor of the infamous Tiger Woods – Nike was honored with the Best Advertiser of the Year Award. The best network of the year was awarded to the joint-winners – BBDO Worldwide and MJZ.

The Coca-Cola “Happiness Machine” was honored with the CLIO’s prestigious Gold Interactive Award. “Coke’s goal to inspire consumers through small, surprise moments of happiness served as the ideal creative motivation to us. Our strategy was to deliver doses of happiness in an unexpected, innovative way to engage not only the students, but the audience at large. Whether you were present during the shoot or experiencing the event online, our goal was the same - to put a smile on your face and share that emotional connection,” according to Paul Iannacchino Jr., Creative Director, Definition 6.
