Clint Eastwood To Direct Controversial J. E. Hoover-FBI Film

Clint Eastwood Mar 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Clint Eastwood, who is a well-known Hollywood actor, and Oscar winning film director, is known for such films as “Unforgiven,” “Grand Torino,” and “Million Dollar Baby.” He is now reported to be in negotiations to direct a picture which will detail the life of J. Edgar Hoover, and the controversies that center around the FBI founder.

Eastwood is said to be teaming up with Ron Howard’s “Imagine Entertainment” and Brian Gazer, to make the movie, which is being taken from a script that was written by Dustin Lance Black. You may remember Black as the author of the Academy Award winning film, “Milk.” The movie won 8 Academy Awards, including “Best Writing of a Screenplay.”

J Edgar Hoover, who is the subject o this movie, founded the FBI in 1935. He remained as director over the organization until his death in 1972. During this time period, he became one of the most powerful men in history. He remains one of the most controversial men of American History because of the methods he used to control. It was later revealed to the world that he had payed FBI members to harass political activists, and illegally made secret files on the leaders.
