New York, Dec 20 (ANI): After much criticism for his role of Col. Claus von Stauffenberg in Valkyrie, Tom Cruise has found a reason to be happy the German officers grandson has praised the actor for the wonderful portrayal of his grandfather in the film.
The Interview With The Vampire actor plays injured World War II Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, who plots the assassination Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, in the film.
Although Cruises performance was criticized by the Colonels family, his grandson Von Sculthess has appreciated the Hollywood hunk for depicting the role beautifully.
“Most of them (von Stauffenberg’’s children) haven”t seen it. They”re crossing their fingers this turned out well. I think it did, and hope they agree, The New York Daily News quoted Schulthess, as saying.
Von Sculthess also plays a small role in controversial war drama flick Valkyrie. (ANI)
