clarenceOct 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The saxophone superstar Clarence Clamens was a guest on The Howard Stern Show, where he discussed about his new book “Big Man:Real Life Tall Tales”. Clamens has been part of the ‘E Street band ‘ for the last few decades. The new book would reveal interesting details about a variety of experiences of the musicians life. Although, Clamens has said that the book would surely not be a tell-all but at the same time he added that it is without any doubt going to be an entertaining read for his fans.

The appearance of the rock and roll star on Howard Stern’s show on Wednesday was intended to promote this new venture. Clamens who appeared quite candid in the interview, talked at length about both his personal as well as professional life. He also expressed disagreement about the concept of finding talent through reality shows such as American Idol which he believed was just a platform that creates only overnight stars without much hard-work. He even discussed without any hesitation about his health ailments such as knee replacement surgery and an heart-attack which he feared would prevent him from performing live in future.

The ‘E Street band’ performed recently at The Spectrum in Philadelphia, one of its well known venues, which is a building that would be razed soon. Clamens who is also referred to as the ‘Big Man’ denied that this could possibly be the last time that the band was performing for the Philadelphia audience. He added that it was surely unfortunate that these buildings which are an intrinsic part of their memories and hold testimony to history would be demolished but at the same time looked forward to create history at new places.
