Claire Danes Los Angeles, Feb 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) American actress Claire Danes is going to play an autistic woman in ‘Temple Grandin’. She says that being married to a fellow actor, is a great thing, because they can share notes. Her husband is the British actor Hugh Dancy. He played an autistic person earlier in his career, and his tips helped Claire a lot.

She said: “He did play an autistic person six months prior to my doing ‘Temple Grandin’, which was a really odd coincidence. And it was very convenient for me, because our bookshelves were already stacked with all of the required reading. It was a great gift to have him understand what I was doing in such an intimate way. I read some of her books and started exploring who she was and became enraptured. It was totally daunting, because she’s wired and organized in such a fundamentally different way from myself.”

After shooting for the movie, Claire says that she views animals in a different light too. As she had a very overwhelming experience, while filming with a herd of cows. She says that she interacted with the livestock, and even put her head through a cow chute. This made her extremely sensitive to the topic of animal suffering. She has now a newfound empathy for them.
