Claire Danes Bags Golden Globe Award For “Temple Grandin”

claireJan 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Temple Grandin” is regarded as one of the popular and notable television series, owing to its intrinsic plot and wonderful portrayal of characters. On Sunday, 68th Golden Globe Awards witnessed the protagonist of the miniseries, Claire Danes receiving the much coveted award on the category of Best Actress on a Miniseries or Movie. The actress previously received accolades of appreciation for her commendable performance in “Temple Grandin” and on Sunday, she received the acknowledgment of her relentless effort and dedication towards her work.

Dressed in a pink gown, the actress completely looked mesmerizing on the red carpet. The actress won an Emmy Award last year for the same series and this year’s trophy was just the icing on the cake. The actress previously nabbed Golden Globe for “My So-Called Life” when she was 15 year old. In her acceptance speech, the actress said that when she first won an award, she was naive and was overwhelmed by the sudden recognition that she got for her effort. Claire Danes said that she feels her role in the “Temple Grandin” was something incredible.

Claire Danes said that from such a marvelous role in “Temple Grandin”, it would be hard for her to go to any “girlfriend” role in future. The actress said that she was so “spoiled” by the richness of her earlier role that it would be hard to get into the skin of any other character. Claire Danes managed to beat Hayley Atwell, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Romola Garai and Judi Dench in the category of Best performance in a mini-series or TV film. Actor Al Pacino won the coveted award for the Best Actor in a Miniseries for “You Don’t Know Jack”.
