May 22, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Funny man Arshad Warsi of Munnabhai fame and pretty actress Kalki Koechlin (Chandramukhi, Dev D) will star together in a new thriller titled Shaitan, which will be directed by Mani Ratnam’s associate, Bejoy Nambiar. Bejoy even put forth his script to Tennis pro turned Hollywood producer Ashok Amritraj, and to Hyde Park Entertainment and he still is eagerly waiting for a response. He also rewrote the script in Hindi. Bejoy Nambiar, who has worked with acclaimed director Mani Ratnam in films like Guru, has revealed that Shaitan will be a thriller based on factual incidents.

Arshad, who last acted and produced the movie Hum Tum Aur Ghost opposite Dia Mirza, has a few films in hand, but for Kalki this will be a major film after Dev D, except for director and boyfriend, Anurag Kashyap’s Yellow Boots, which is almost done. She has also been appearing in quite a few ad campaigns lately. Kalki is excited and gearing up for her role in the film.

She is also keen on working with both Arshad and Bejoy.

Some of the other caste mates rumored to be in the movie are Jackie “jaggu” Shroff, Rajit Kapoor, Shiv Pandit, and Manita Das.

Will Kalki Koechlin dazzle the critics and the viewers again after her marvelous performance in Dev D? We’ll just have to wait and watch.
