Cindy Crawford Stuttgart, Mar 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The man who blackmailed Cindy Crawford last year is now going to face trial, according to the prosecutors in Stuttgart. He had threatened to publish a photograph of Cindy Crawford’s daughter in a bound and a gagged pose. Cindy Crawford had said that the photograph was taken when she was playing a game of ‘cops and robbers’, by her nanny. The extortionist – Edis Kayalar took the photograph from the nanny, and used it to blackmail the former supermodel.

The former supermodel Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber revealed that the extortionist had threatened to sell the picture to the media, but returned it to the couple after they paid him a sum of $1000. Later he demanded more money and threatened them with another copy of the picture. The power couple refused to part with more money, and instead went to the police, and spilled the beans. He was picked up by the police, and was also handed over to the immigration authorities as he was also staying in the US illegally. Then he was deported to Germany, as he was an illegal immigrant in the United States.

If Edis Kayalar is convicted then he could be behind bars for 5 years.
