Chuck Norris to be made honorary member of real-life Texas Rangers
December 3rd, 2010 - 5:33 pm ICT by ANIMelbourne, Dec 3 (ANI): Actor Chuck Norris is to be made an honorary member of the real-life Texas Rangers.
Norris, 70, who starred in ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’, will be bestowed with the honour of being part of the legendary law enforcement agency by Texas Governor Rick Perry in a ceremony set to take place in Dallas.
The actor had made it big with his role of a take-no-prisoners crime fighter in 1993 in the television series, which ran until 2001, News.com.au reported.
Since then he has enjoyed renewed cult status after lending a comic turn to 2008 Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee’s campaign with his now famous Chuck Norris Approved ad. (ANI)
