May 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rumors and speculations are afloat about Chuck Bass dying in the finale of the 3rd season of Gossip Girl on the CW Network. The last episode showed Chuck Bass being mugged and shot. The character has already taken quite a beating from the man whose sister he slept with. Chuck Bass was shot and mugged just before proposing his girlfriend. The engagement ring too was sadly stolen. The fate of the character has been quite tragic in the recent episodes and therefore his death in the season finale is not exactly a far fetched thought.

Co-creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage have stated that few episodes of the 4th season will be shown in Paris and Ed Westwick who plays Charles Bartholomew “Chuck” Bass will be one of the expected faces. It is though not very unusual in a drama series for a character to die, get shot at, fall off a cliff or go into coma and then make a come back a dozen episodes later. The Chuck Bass fans can take heart from the fact that his death is not yet confirmed and even if he dies, there is a strong possibility of him making a comeback in the next season of Gossip Girl starting September 13, 2010. Fans are also looking forward to episode where Chuck Bass will finally get to propose his girlfriend. The final episode will also show Jenny’s departure.

The character of Chuck Bass has gained immense popularity in the hit series Gossip Girl for his style statement. His financial ambitions make him an extremely interesting guy to follow in the show.
