Chrysler 200 Super Bowl Commercial By Eminem Works Wonders

Feb 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Chrysler 200 Super Bowl Commercial, that featured Eminem, became one of the most high rated and captivating ads yesterday. The ad was of two minutes, that itself stated how much money the ad agency had to spend, considering the money involved in buying a two minutes slot during the match and involving a rapper like Eminem to endorse the product. However, at the end of the day, when the ad turned out to be a success, the lump some expenditure turned out to be worth the effort.
In the ad, the Detroit based rapper, played himself. He sat on the driver’s seat to take a ride on the streets of Detroit. Chrysler 200, for which the ad was made is a luxurious Sedan, and with the featuring of the rapper, the car added a different level of youth appeal and elegance. The ad was first featured in the third quarter of the match. It started with the back ground jingle “Lose Yourself” from “8 Mile”. Initially, the face of the rapper was not shown, which made the audience all more curious about who the endorser would be. However, the song made many people anticipate that it would be none other than the creator of the jingle, “Eminem”.
The ad featured almost each and every picturesque tourist attractions of Detroit along with the darker sides of the city. As the joy ride ended, the ad revealed the face of the rapper. Eminem popped up the question, “What does a city that’s been to hell and back know about luxury?” Then he said that this is a motor city and that is what they do. After watching the ad, many people tweeted that it was one of the most emotional ads, that hit the right chords, and brought tears to many people, for it made people nostalgic about the city of Detroit, from where the car is imported.
