Christopher Nolan says 007 influenced new movie ‘Inception’
July 10th, 2010 - 7:01 pm ICT by ANILondon, July 10 (ANI): Film director Christopher Nolan has revealed that the making of his new movie ‘Inception’ was very much influenced by the James Bond movies.
The sci-fi thriller, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, follows a team of thieves who steal secrets from other people’s dreams.
“The Bond influence on the film was very intentional because, for me, growing up with the Bond films - they’ve always stood for grand-scale action,” the BBC quoted Nolan as saying.
“In dealing with the human mind and dreams, my mind naturally gravitates towards the Bond films as that sort of expression of cinematic potential.
“By the end of the film you feel that Inception could go anywhere and do anything,” he added.
‘Inception’ will be released in the UK on July 16. (ANI)
