Matt CardleDec 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The “X-Factor” champion seems to be going quite steady in his music career, as his latest and debut solo release ‘When We Collide’, has hit the numero uno spot in the Irish singles chart. This particular song would be the number one single in UK, all through out the Christmas season.

Matt Cardle must feel lucky as he has surpassed his other co-contenders’ “X-Factor Finalist 2010″, whose charity single ‘Heroes’ has fallen to the number four position from number three. The second position in the chart goes to comedy duo The Rubberbandits. ‘What’s My Name?’ by the ever popular Rihanna has elevated itself to the third position from the sixth. Rihanna is also the only person, who has bagged more than one position in the list, with her “Only Girl (In The World)” standing undauntedly at number seven. Black Eyed Peas made themselves to the number five spot, with their “The Time (Dirty Bit). With “The Flood”, Take That stands at the sixth spot. Katy Perry’s sensational “Fire work” made her stand at the number eight position, followed by Ellie Golding with ‘Your Song’ and Biffy Clyro with ‘Many of Horror’.

However, having Matt Cardle at the number one spot was not completely unpredictable, as his album “When We Collide” sold 112,000 copies within just 24 hours of its release. The singer has already become one of the most famous people in UK, still his fame has not changed him a bit. He says that he is still as humble as he was before, as for several years, he has been trying to make it big in the music industry. However, despite bagging the number one spot, he thinks that he still has a long “way to go”.
