Dec 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Christmas is round the corner and ABC, like every year is making special efforts to set the right spirit for the festival. Recently it premiered “Christmas Cupid”. However, the much awaited original television movie turned out to be a bit disappointing although people were expecting it to be a perfect start for Christmas.

“Christmas Cupid” stars Christina Milian and Chad Michael Murray in the two lead roles. Although the latter looked really cute and chocolaty, Christina Milian’s character was not that likable. According to many critics, the story lacked originality. The story revolves around the life of Sloane, played by Christina Milian. She is a stylish and beautiful girl, moving fast in her career at her public relation firm. As the story moves on, her client Caitlin reaches coma, to become her personal ghost of Christmas for the present and future. She realizes that unethical professional life that she leads needs to alter for better and that is only possible when she unites with her ex-lover. She realizes that she is missing the true meaning of Christmas and her life in general, with the help of the ghost. This modern day Christmas carol was basically meant to be a meaty chick flick, but it did not quite offer what is generally expected out of one.

The story is directed by Gil Junger, written by Aury Wallington. It also stars other actors like Ashley Benson, Ryan Sypek, Burgess Jenkins and Reagan Michelle amongst others. The critics of the film have said that one can opt for this film if nothing else is on. However, if one is planning for an entertaining pajama party before the Christmas, then this may not be the right one.
