Christine Bleakley snubs Adrian Chiles’ offer to join him at GMTV

London, June 10 (ANI): TV presenter Christine Bleakley has given a cold-shoulder to her former co-host Adrian Chiles’ pleas to join him at GMTV.

In fact, she has agreed to a new 1-million-pound BBC deal.

“I’m so happy here. I’m staying put, absolutely,” the Mirror quoted her as saying.

Despite repeated appeals by former co-host Chiles to re-create their popular on-screen double act on ITV, Christine, 31, has told Beeb bosses that she will sign a two-year deal when she returns from holiday in a fortnight.

She has provisionally agreed terms of the contract and has also given her seal of approval to new co-presenter, comedian Jason Manford, 29.

Christine’s new deal will begin in September when her current 100,000 pound-a-year contract expires.

It was rumoured that she would quit the BBC to join Chiles, 43, on the GMTV sofa after he furiously left ‘The One Show’ in April when he was replaced by Chris Evans on Fridays.

But, much to Chiles’ embarrassment, news of her decision to stay loyal to the corporation came after he recently said: “There is no doubt sooner or later Christine and I will work together, whether in September on GMTV or in the future.”

ITV bosses are said to have offered Christine - who dates England star Frank Lampard - a lucrative 6million pounds, four-year package to jump ship. (ANI)
