London, Feb 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) English TV personality Christine Bleakley has hit out at young girls who wants to be rich and famous because of the men that they marry.

The TV presenter said that girls who dream that they would have to marry a football star or another high profile personality before they can make it in life lack their own motivation.

Christine said that, “I recall in despair the various surveys done over recent years revealing young girls’ ambitions. Be famous or get famous by marrying someone famous seems to be as far as ambition goes.”

Ironically Christine is going out with a high profile football star. Frank Lampard is one of the leading players of English football and one of the big earners in the country. Christine maintains that she didn’t go hunting for Lampard because he was a football star. She said that she believes that a woman should be able to support herself financially and not depend on her man for everything that she might need.

On that score she thanked her parents for instilling the work ethics in her that has made her really ‘independent’.

Christine receives £4 million for being the host of Daybreak.
