Christina Hendricks wants to be ‘Wonder Woman’
June 21st, 2011 - 8:19 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattHollywood, June 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Nicolas Winding Refn is regarded as a possible director for Warner Bros’ “Wonder Woman.” The script is being developed and Refn spoke about who he will want to be on the sets of the Wonder Woman.
Refn during an interview with Vulture said Christina Hendricks is by far his first choice for the role. Refn’s major concern now is getting the director’s role. He said that if he manages to reach a deal with the studio, he is not ready to look anywhere else regarding whom to be the next Wonder Woman.
Refn emphatically stated that, “If I ever get to do it, she’s (Hendricks) going to be it.” In the past, Hendricks has indicated her desire to be in the Wonder Woman movie. She has made her intentions clear on several occasions and in an interview with Rachael Ray last year, Hendricks said that, “I’ve been wanting to wear that outfit my whole life … I had Underoos — I had Wonder Woman Underoos.”
Warner Bros is still working on the script of the movie. There has been no confirmation from the studio regarding hiring and casts. The movie is the remake of the highly successful 1970s television drama with the same title.
