Aug 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Christina Hendricks of “Mad Men” has gracefully embraced her status as a “sex symbol”. The actress seemed happy and said she was honored when Britain’s Equalities Minister Lynne Featherstone considered her as the present idol of the women. The Equalities Minister also mentioned that she is the “role model” and she is the healthy example of beauty.

Joan Harris of “Mad Men” a.k.a Christina Hendricks in one of her recent interviews said that she feels privileged to be a part of the show. She also mentioned that she felt as if she was “invisible” before “Mad Men”, but now people know her and recognizes her for her performance and also her figure which has grabbed eyeballs. She even said that she is still adjusting to the fanfare. She said that she never felt like she “fitted” in the whole craze and praises she gets now. She also added that it is a compliment for her because before “Mad Men” she was asked by the producers to lose weight and after the show everybody is “celebrating” it.

Christina Hendrick’s co-star in the show, January Jones also praised her hourglass figure saying that she supports that women should have curves and also said that she wishes that more women should realize what men like in women. Christina Hendricks while speaking about her shooting experience said that she occasionally gets nervous about the role but as soon as her make-up is done, she gets into the skin of her character. In last night’s episode of “Mad Men” on AMC, Christina Hendricks shined in her role where she is seen facing problems with Greg as both of them try to settle down in their lives together.
