Christina Aguilera talks about her anthem mistake

Los Angeles, April 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, singer Christina Aguilera spoke about her flub of the lyrics of the US Anthem. The singer infamously got some verses of the US Anthem wrong during the Super Bowl. The singer said she has overcome the experience. The interview was aired on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old still maintained on the show that she has been singing the US Anthem since she was a little child. She was specific saying she was performing the song for large audiences when she was just 7 years.

She told Ellen that, “I had been singing that song my entire life. I was the youngest anthem singer in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. I sang for the Steelers when I was… 7 or 8 years old.”

She revealed that when the mishap happened on that day, she realized the mistake and instantly knew that many people have realized what has happened as well. Shortly after the incident, Aguilera released a statement to the Associated Press saying the mistake was probably due to the “love” that she has for the United States.

The singer also spoke about her new show on NBC titled “The Voice.”
