International music icon Christina Aguilera got teary eyed in a recent TV interview given to E! Online and admitted that it was the loving influence of husband of four years, that has kept her away from substance abuse. She gives him full credit for helping her overcome her past liaison with the substance abuse.

Aguilera says that it was only because of Jordan Bratman’s emotional support and understanding of her abusive past, that came a long way in sorting out her life. The singer has told E! Online, “I grew up not having any real male perspective or role model and Jordan just continuously makes me fall deeper and deeper in love with him everyday. He just exudes such love and is such a great father to Max that it just makes me the happiest woman alive. I’m just lucky to have him in my life. ..every couple has times when they disagree, but I never allow any arguments to escalate in front of Max.”

Christina has also said that Jordan’s love has gone a long way in helping her conquer her lifelong fears that had been born after having grown up with an abusive father. In the interview, which is scheduled to air on September 2, she was almost found to be choking on words as she described what a wonderful husband and a father Jordan is.

The couple had married in 2005 and this November will complete fours years of the married life. They have a 19 month old son, named Max.
