London, July 15 (IANS) Former supermodel Christie Brinkley made her West End theater debut after postponing the day due to a family illness.
The model was scheduled to reprise her role as Roxie Hart on the London stage, this Monday, but her mother was admitted to hospital for an emergency medical procedure.
The 57-year-old opted to stay in the US so she could be at home with her family, but she travelled to Britain earlier this week and took to the stage at the Cambridge Theater, this Wednesday.
“I’m just a lot better now! It (opening night) was so much fun. I really can hardly believe I’m here. I still pinch myself that I did Broadway and that Broadway led me to here, London,” contactmusic.com quoted Brinkley as saying.
