Christian Slater’s death reports are a hoax

Los Angeles, Feb 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Daily Mail has reported that contrary to Internet rumors, Christian Slater is not dead.

The actor was the subject of a snowboarding accident rumor that hit the Internet recently. The rumor claimed that the accident happened at Switzerland.

Slater initially decided to keep quiet but after several reports on the Internet, he came out in the open.

There have been series of celebrity death hoaxes recently. Eddie Murphy, Aretha Franklin, Charlie Sheen and Adam Sandler have all been subject of recent death hoax recently. Most of the death hoax are carried out by fake news websites and they all have similar contents claiming the subject of the hoax has died at Switzerland.

Security experts believe that there is a security concern attached to these death hoaxes. They believe that the rate at which these hoaxes spread quickly makes it an ideal tool for cyber-criminals to use it and spread malware and viruses.

The publicist of Slater spoke to the New York Daily News saying that the “True Romance” star was well and in good health. The assurance is most pleasing for the numerous fans that may have been troubled by the earlier rumors.
