Christian Bale wins fight for best supporting actor Oscar

London, Feb 28 (ANI): British actor Christian Bale has won the best supporting actor Academy Award for portrayal of problematic boxing brother in ‘The Fighter.’
Bale followed up his success at the Golden Globes with an Academy Award, coming out on top of a shortlist that also included Geoffrey Rush (’The King’s Speech’) and Jeremy Renner (’The Town’).
In ‘The Fighter,’ Bale played Dicky Eklund, the half-brother and trainer of fighting hopeful Micky Ward, played by Mark Wahlberg. (ANI)
