Los Angeles, Nov 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Christian Bale has indicated that he will not be playing the Batman role again after the upcoming movie “The Dark Night Rises.” The 37-year-old was quoted by the Philippine Daily Inquirer in an interview as saying that the next movie will be his last.

Bale first hinted about exiting the super-hero franchise last year when he told E! News that he will not be continuing with the franchise for longer. In the recent interview, Bale was quoted in the publication as saying that, “I wrapped a few days ago so that will be the last time I’m taking that cowl [Batman hood] off. I believe that the whole production wrapped yesterday, so it’s all done. Everything’s finished. It’s me and [director] Chris [Nolan] — that will be the end of that Batman era.”

Bale also spoke about all his costars in the movie. Was full of praises for the actors saying they did a marvelous job on the movie. That seems to settle rumors that it was rift between Bale and some of the costars that got him to reach such a decision.

Bale has appeared in two previous Batman movies, “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight.” “The Dark Night Rises” is the third Batman movie that Bale will be involved.
