Chris Tucker’s $11 Million Tax Problems

christuckerJuly 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Funnyman Chris Tucker may not find it really funny as the Internal Revenue Service has claimed that the star owes a total of $11 million in taxes. The reports suggest that Chris Tucker has evaded taxes for a number of years and also has a history of tax evasion.

The reports indicate that the star has failed to pay up his due taxes from 2001 through 2006 and the amount has reached gigantic proportions over the years. Reports also indicate that the comedian received a whopping $20 million for the blockbuster ‘Rush Hour’ and then another $25 million for the second installment. He was also in the news when the State of California filed a lien against him for not paying his taxes to the state last year that amounted to $3 million. The star’s representatives have been unavailable for comment since the news broke out.

Chris Tucker is not the only Hollywood star who has faced tax problems in the last few years. One of the biggest tax problems was faced by the ‘City Of Angels’ star Nicholas Cage who later blamed his lawyers for the tax debacle that saw his wealth get ruined. Chris Tucker is known for his role as Detective James Carter in the film ‘Rush Hour’ that also stars Jackie Chan. He’s revealed that his style of comedy is influenced by comedian Martin Lawrence. Chris Tucker is also known for his friendship with the late pop icon Michael Jackson. He also appeared in a music video of Michael Jackson that was released in 2001.
