Sep 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Chris Klein, from ‘American Pie’, and ‘Rollerball’, was issued another DUI on June 16 on a highway in Los Angeles, and pleaded “No Contest” this morning (Friday). He was sentenced to ninety-six hours in jail, which he had already taken care of, along with other consequences of his crime.

Along with sending the four days in jail, Klein also spent two months in rehab. This was his second DUI, with his first one being five years ago. Klein was also given four year’s probation, a number of fines, and has to complete an eighteen month DUI program, as well as install an “ignition interlock device” on his car.

Before he was sentenced, Klein apologized to Judge David B. Gelfound, and stated, “I apologize for my wrongdoing and I really appreciate the court giving me the opportunity to prove how seriously I took all of this,” according to ‘TMZ’.

His attorney, Blair Berk shared his approval of Chris for taking responsibility for his actions, “Chris took immediate responsibility for what he did and has used this experience in such a positive way to get help to confront an addiction to alcohol,” Berk told ‘People’ magazine. “He deserves enormous credit for stepping up and getting it done.”
