Chris Evans undergoes pre-cancer operation
July 27th, 2011 - 9:06 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, July 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) British broadcaster Chris Evans underwent a pre-cancer operation on Tuesday. Evans told his listeners that he took the advice of his doctor to see a specialist on the possibility of having a colon cancer.
Evans has history of cancer in his family. His father died of colon cancer and based on that his doctor advised that he should go for a test called colonscopy. The test revealed that Evans indeed had the initial symptoms of the disease and an operation was used to remove them.
On Wednesday during his breakfast show on Radio 2, Evans told his listeners that, “I was recommended by my doctor to go and have another doctor look at what’s going on down below because of the history of cancer in my family so I went for this routine operation yesterday. here’s the thing, they found some nasties up there and they removed them like that. Done, done deal.”
Evans later said he felt great after the operation and advised his listeners who might have cancer history in the family to go for routine checks. Evans is a big name in Britain with estimated nine million listeners tuning in to listen to him on his breakfast show every day.
