Chris Colfer offered a book deal
June 10th, 2011 - 12:56 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, June 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Hollywood Reporter reports that Glee star Chris Colfer has been handed a deal to author two children’s book. At 21 years of age, Chris is already a successful actor receiving Golden Globe award for his work on Glee. Chris also sings and he is a screenwriter as well.
The report says Chris will write two books for Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. Chris released a statement yesterday revealing his love for writing. Part of the statement said that, “When I was 10 years old, I promised myself that if I ever had the opportunity to write this book, I would jump at the chance.”
Little, Brown Books believe that they have made the right choice in Chris. A rep of the publisher told reporters that, “Chris is a remarkable talent whose writing combines all the qualities kids love.”
The title of one of the books has already been released. Chris said that he has had the story of The Land of Stories in his head for a long time and he will love to share it with the world. He however admitted that he is nervous in doing it.
The book is expected to be released in the summer of 2012.
