Chris Brown Does Well On Probation

chrisLos Angeles, May 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rn’B singer Chris Brown is making good progress in his sentence for domestic violence, for which he had been convicted after he got accused of abusing his former girlfriend Rihanna. The singer had been caused of abusing Rihanna, with whom he has parted ways since, on the eve of the Grammy awards, last year. After being convicted of the charges, Chris Brown had been sentenced to six months of hard labor and was asked to attend 52 counseling sessions on domestic violence. He appeared in court, along with his lawyer, on Thursday, giving the detailed reports of his behavior while serving the sentence.

Chris Brown seems to be making quite good progress during his time in the prison. An attorney for the singer reported to the Judge of the Los Angles Superior Court, Patricia Schnegg, that Chris Brown has, so far, completed more than 290 hours of hard labor that he had been sentenced to, and as of the counseling sessions, he had attended all 52 of them, missing out on only one. His progress seemed to gain the approval of he judge, who commented favorably on it, and asked Chris Brown to come back to the court on Aug 26, for yet another status hearing.

According to the attorney for the singer, Mark Geragos, it is expected that Chris Brown would be completing the whole sentence of community service by the October of this year. So far, he has only completed about 20% of the sentence that he had been awarded. He is still on probation, on which he was put for 5 months. The judge has asked his attorney to prepare a formal report of his progress while on probation.
