Washington, Nov 24 (ANI): Singer Chris Brown’s controversial Rihanna episode has forced hitmaker Timbaland to cut him from his new song.
The Kiss Kiss hitmaker has been sentenced to five years’ probation in August (09) and ordered to stay away from Rihanna after attacking her during an argument over a mysterious text message in February (09).
According to TMZ.com, Brown’s controversy has split the music world as some peers have refused to work with the shamed star as a result of his actions.
Timbaland insists he’s not one - but he has cut Brown’s vocals from new tune The One I Love.
Rapper D.O.E., who does appear on the track, title had to be changed from Maniac because of the Brown controversy, reports Contactmusic.
Timbaland’s manager, Marcus Spence, said the decision to cut Brown from the track “was a creative decision for both parties.”
