The Chris Brown assaulting his then girlfriend Rihanna had made a lot of news just some months ago (six to be precise), an incident for which Brown had been condemned a lot by the public as well as the close unit of the entertainment industry. Since the incident which had taken place on the eve of the Grammy Awards (for which Rihanna could not perform at the awards ceremony), Brown and Rihanna have broken up but the issue still dangles in the public eye with the ensuing legal tassels. Now, Brown has come back in to the arch lights this time but for a noble cause; he reportedly has publicly apologized for the assault incident.

Donning a simple red shirt and facing the lens, Brown gets all candid in the two minute long video clip, saying vehemently over and over that he really is sorry for what had transpired between him and the R&B singer at that point of time. Even though the apology comes late, everyone sincerely hopes that it is earnest and Brown really changes his behavior.

He says, “I’m not going to sit here and make excuses .. What I did was inexcusable.” “I have told Rihanna countless times, and I’m telling you today, that I am truly sorry that I Wasn’t able to handle the situation differently and better.” “As many of you know, I grew up in a home where there was domestic violence, and I saw first-hand what uncontrolled rage could do. I have sought and I am continuing to seek help to ensure that what occurred in February can never happen again.”
